ə price first, with the exception of one brand. otherwise, brand and distance, roughly tied. right now, i'm looking at price only, with gas getting near $4! ə

I am sure we had this question before, and I think I may have answered it differently. Now it is strictly price. I buy the cheapest, and HOPE it is just as good as the major brands.

How can gas jump 5 or 10 cents overnight -- the gas in the storazge tank has to be from the same delivery as the day before.

Unless I'm avoiding Exxon or Mobil, it's the price. Even then, they never have the lowest price.

I use to purchase premium gas, the one in between regular and super, but since gas prices have soared through the roof, Regular gas is the only type I fill up my car with and it also depends on the price.

for me it is price, however, it is the best price among name brand gasoline... I still do not trust the quality of discount gasoline.

Price of gasoline. Quality/Brand of gasoline. Convenient location. These 3 are important to me in this order.

Pretty much price wins - but those stupid award programs keep me going to the big guys when the prices are close. When it comes to grade quality ... tankers have been known to offload into the wrong holding tank (from earlier days personal experience workin' the pumps) -- one never knows.

The primary factor now is price then after that is convenient location(short driving distance).

It is all about the price. I could care less about the service as I don't deal with the person inside for anything.

At this point in time who cares about anything more than price? Of course, if the location is inconvenient the low price may negate itself. So in a very minimal sense location is a factor. However, if I know I will be in the area, I will wait to put gas at the station with the lower price.

Someone mentioned Shell gas to be superior to other brands. I wonder if you know that (you don't know) who's gas you are buying when you fill your tank? Companies go together to get the best price and who knows whose gasoline you are buying. Correct me if I am wrong but I have done extensive research on this.

Price primarily. Have you guys heard of Ethos? It is supposed to save you around .80 cents a gal at the pump. It is the same thing they added to gas in California to clean up the smog. I have been trying it and will let you know what the outcome is. Since they started adding ethanol to our gas here it has cut my mileage and the car isn't performing as it did before. Let me know if any of you know about this product. It is supposed to clean your engine and make the gas vapor explode better. If you stick your finger in your tail pipe and it comes out black, you aren't getting the most of your gas, the engine is only about 22% efficient they say.

I have to say price. I have noticed that my car runs/idles differently when I use off brands. I bought gas at Wal Mart a few times. They have 10% ethanol in thier gas and my car did not like that too much. Typically, I'm buying where I can accumalate points as well such as a Speedway, Sheets, or Giant Eagle. Gas here has been 3.99 and with these programs I haven't paid higher then 3.85. Of course, I'm filling every four days so the points can rack up for me.

Price. It all burns, and in any given market, came out of the same refinery.

Primarily price, but it has to be one of the "Top Tier" brands for me to even consider buying, regardless of price.

I would have to say the price of gas definitely. I'm about to be moving from Austin to El Paso for my college education. And you know with the whole gas prices being unknown, i have no idea how much its gonna cost.

For me, its a combination of both price and quality of gas that is important to me. My prefenece is is BP but their gas is usually the highest in the area. In order to get a decent price on gas, I have to go 10 miles from home!

Price is the #1 factor but I try to weigh that with the convenience of the location as well as the Quality/Brand. I feel the same as many of the others who have posted on this topic, I'm not going out of my way to save a few pennies, gas costs too much to drive across town looking for a bargain.

Of course we all want to get the best PRICE but will not drive across town to save a few pennies. Sometimes have to settle more the higher price versus driving all the gas out trying to save a dollar or two. It sure is getting CRAZIER by the day!
