Has a vehicle you were traveling in ever run out of fuel?
No, never.
Once or twice.
Once every few years.
Once every few months.
Too often to keep track.
Too often to admit it!
I don't remember.
N/A

Once. I had just purchased a new car & planned to go on a long trip shortly. Before leaving town, I drove it to what I thought would be near empty. I spent several hours on the side of the 405 waiting for fuel. <sigh> This car is empty as it hits "e", not afterwards!

No I have never run out of gas. If you do run out of gas on a interstate highway you can get a ticket for it.

I find 46 percent who haven't run out of fuel even once to be a bit unbelievable... For me... It hasn't happened in over 3 years... Had a car with a bad gauge... Only a handful of times, maybe once every 100,000 miles.

Yeah once or twice long ago when the gas gauge wasn't working.

Twice on my truck. Both times had to take it to the shop since it's a diesel and had an air bubble. The mechanic checked and discovered my sending unit was bad and giving me a wrong reading on the gauge. Wondered how I could be empty with a quarter tank left.

Once in the late 70's. When my '73 Malibu's gas gauge read empty it meant it. I found out the hard way. Fortunately not far from home.

I have never ran out of gas. I watch my mileage and know how far I can go.
