Just dropping a line to let You know that I appreciate your noble attempt to straighten-out "curley-fries" not having "all the facts correct" -- even though I think it may well be a lost cause.  I note curley's reference was to the deficit, whereas your point on the debt being incurred, is more the factor sinking this "Ship of State", albeit deficit spending leads down that same path when overall spending is so excessive that only incurring massive debt can enable it.  Progressives seem to think there's no end to how much we can be taxed, and that they, in their presumed wisdom, can spend for us so very much more wisely than we, ourselves.

An ongoing deficit coupled with truly meager spending, would be a joy to behold; but they choose to demonize the deficit to distract from the massive fleecing (spending) that is their ulterior motive.  To cut that deficit, they will "tax the rich" (whom, it uncannily seems, turn out to be the not so rich, as the fleecing goes on and on, apace.)  Those who do these deeds, truly commit evil; but the duped who obstinately cling to their errors and do their masters' bidding, like curley, if indeed they can be reached again I say: It is a noble attempt You make.
