You further say, "If the keystone pipeline (Canada to the Gulf of Mexico) they will be able to get their gas/oil onto the world market... that would be GOOD for Canada, but BAD for the US." Wrong on a few points there as well. 1st. Only bitumen will be pumped through that pipeline IF it is built, NOT GAS, as gasoline is already refined and it wouldn't make sense to pollute a refined product with a raw product. 2nd. The oil that is finally piped to Texas, and sold to Texas at the same price they buy US oil, would be refined in IN TEXAS by US REFINERS then sold to the other markets, making money for the US REFINERS. If you think that would be bad for the US then you really need to rethink your thinking.

Reality is not necessarily aligned with opinion here. As well, people are freely allowed to post any foolish comment they please. Some of the comments come out on the extreme end as a result. Indeed, we should all be able to endure it!

It is a nature preserve.. no oil, no gold, no resources other than Polar bears, seals, foxes and arctic birds... Currently inhabited by 4 Russian park Rangers and 12 Scientists in a weather station. AND even if there were.. it belongs to Russia, It has always belonged to Russia.. How can anyone, pres bush or pres obama give away what they do not own? Can you give me your neighbors car?

After they give back all those you listed, they're giving Nevada to Iran & North Korea ao they can store their nuclear waste in Yucca Mountain. Will there be anything left to give back to the Native Americans?
