. Go FORD!
E-SQUIRREL: Oil isn't going anywhere! Its the cheapest fuel along with CNG and we have over 250 years of it. By the time its gone we will be using something nobody has heard of much less though of yet!

Despite what many biased pundits say, vehicles like this promise to extend the life of oil rather than point to its imminent demise.
Take a lesson from coal. Although coal was the dominant energy source in the 1800's, and replaced by oil in the 1900's, here in the 2000's we STILL use a lot of coal. Oil is going to be in use for many, many years.

I like my Prius, it gets the stated mileage on the stickerand has a proven record. If I were to buy an American vehicle it would be a Ford. I will never buy a new GM or Chrysler vehicle as one person wrote online, I don't like to pay twice for something. That and I don't feel like supporting the (Democrat) special intrest group known and the UAW.

Wonder if Ford is going to break with the Aisin CVT that was a logistical sticking point on the Escape sourcing.

Ford has had hybrids longer than any other US automaker.
About 10% of the Escape production was hybrids starting in 2004 but the 2013 won't have a hybrid. It is said that the little EcoBoost engine option will provide comparable fuel economy with a much smaller price premium.
In the trivia department, Barack Obama's last civilian car was a Ford Escape Hybrid.

It will be sold in a plug-in and also a electric form. You may think electricity is expensive, but you can go more miles on a dollars worth of electricity than you can go on a dollars worth of gasoline. Go electric!
